I ordered this for my SteelSeries Rival 600 and just to see what all the hype is about. I ordered it from Amazon and it showed up a few days later while I was playing with my g703 and I left it in a box since I don’t need one for a wireless mouse.
I got two new mice to play around with (Zowie FK2 and Roccat Kone Pure Owl Eye) that have cables to see if this does help at all. As a note, I do play on two mouse pads on top of each other and when I do play with a wired mouse, I can feel the cable get stuck on the edge of the upper mouse pad sometimes.
Once I set it up, it took me a while to figure out how much extra length of cable should be in the cable holder, but when I added some extra length for larger swings I started to understand why people like it. My mouse cable now pretty much hangs in the air (if it’s a stiffer cable) which almost makes it feel wireless.
The device itself has four rubber nubs on the bottom to stop the bungee from moving on the desk. It’s got a decent weight to it, but I think a better idea would’ve been to add extra weights to add if you want it heavier.
Do you need this? I don’t know, it’s a nice addition for Quality of Life if you are having issues with mouse cables dragging on your desk, but it’s also possible you will never have a need for it.
